Bharatpur Eye Hospital was established in 1987 under the aegis of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS-
National Society for Comprehensive Eye Care Service). The hospital building was constructed with
financial and technical support from BCCI foundation Pakistan. Initially, it was established to provide eye
care services in Chitwan district only but in the pursuit of growth and expansion with the support from
various international organizations, relentless efforts and commitment put in, by its staff members and
continued cooperation from local community, have made it possible for BEH to serve beyond Chitwan.

👁️ Eye Screening Campaign for Journalists Successfully Conducted.On the occasion of the 26th General Assembly of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS), Chitwan Branch and World Sight Day 2026, an Eye Screening Campaign for Journalists was successfully conducted.The campaign was organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Chitwan, with the aim of promoting eye health and ensuring timely access to eye screening and care for journalists.The initiative provided valuable benefits to participating journalists by raising awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations, early detection of eye conditions, and timely treatment.
