Bharatpur Eye Hospital was established in 1987 under the aegis of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS-
National Society for Comprehensive Eye Care Service). The hospital building was constructed with
financial and technical support from BCCI foundation Pakistan. Initially, it was established to provide eye
care services in Chitwan district only but in the pursuit of growth and expansion with the support from
various international organizations, relentless efforts and commitment put in, by its staff members and
continued cooperation from local community, have made it possible for BEH to serve beyond Chitwan.

नेपाल नेत्रज्योति संघ, हिरालाल सन्तुदेवी प्रधान नेत्र विज्ञान अध्ययन संस्थान, भरतपुर आँखा अस्पतालद्वारा प्रकाशित ‘A Legacy of Light & Sight’ पुस्तिकाको लोकार्पण कार्यक्रम भव्य रूपमा सम्पन्न भएको छ।कार्यक्रम नेपाल नेत्रज्योति संघ, चितवनका सभापति तथा भरतपुर आँखा अस्पतालका अध्यक्ष श्री जयराम श्रेष्ठज्यूको अध्यक्षता, प्रमुख अतिथि बागमती प्रदेशका स्वास्थ्य तथा सामाजिक विकास मन्त्री माननीय गिर बहादुर तामाङज्यू तथा नेपाल नेत्रज्योति संघ, बागमती प्रदेशका सभापति श्री ऋषिराम पौडेलज्यूको आतिथ्यतामा सम्पन्न भएको हो। कार्यक्रममा नेपाल नेत्रज्योति संघ, चितवनका पदाधिकारीज्यूहरू, अस्पतालका Chief Medical Director सह–प्रा. डा. पुष्पा गिरीज्यू लगायत चिकित्सक तथा कर्मचारीहरूको गरिमामय उपस्थिति रहेको थियो। कार्यक्रमको सञ्चालन नेपाल नेत्रज्योति संघका सचिव श्री केशवप्रसाद अधिकारीज्यूले गर्नुभएको थियो।उज्यालो दृष्टिको यात्राको दस्तावेज — ‘A Legacy of Light & Sight’मिति: २०८३ असोज ६ गतेThe Dissemination ceremony of the booklet ‘A Legacy of Light & Sight’, published by Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Hiralal Santudevi Pradhan Institute of Ophthalmic Sciences, Bharatpur Eye Hospital, was successfully held in a grand manner.The program was chaired by Mr. Jay Ram Shrestha, Chairperson of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Chitwan, and Chairperson of Bharatpur Eye Hospital. The Chief Guest was Honorable Gir Bahadur Tamang, Minister for Health and Social Development of Bagmati Province, with the presence of Mr. Rishiram Paudel, Chairperson of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Bagmati Province, as a special guest. The event was graced by the dignified presence of office bearers of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Chitwan, Chief Medical Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pushpa Giri, along with doctors and staff of Bharatpur Eye Hospital. 👁️ हरिपूर्वा नगरपालिकामा आँखा उपचार केन्द्रको शुभारम्भहरिपूर्वा, सर्लाही | १८ सेप्टेम्बर २०२६नेपाल नेत्र ज्योति सङ्घ, हिरालाल सन्तुदेवी प्रधान नेत्र विज्ञान अध्ययन संस्थान, भरतपुर आँखा अस्पताल र हरिपूर्वा नगरपालिका, सर्लाही बीचको सहकार्यमा हरिपूर्वा नगरपालिका–२ स्थित हरिपूर्वा नगर अस्पताल परिसरमा आँखा उपचार केन्द्रको सफ्ट ओपनिङ (शुभारम्भ) सम्पन्न भएको छ।स्थानीय समुदायलाई सहज, सुलभ तथा गुणस्तरीय आँखा स्वास्थ्य सेवा स्थानीय स्तरमै उपलब्ध गराउने तथा नगरपालिका र आसपासका क्षेत्रमा आँखा स्वास्थ्य सेवाको पहुँच विस्तार गर्ने उद्देश्यले आँखा उपचार केन्द्र सञ्चालनमा ल्याइएको हो।कार्यक्रममा हरिपूर्वा नगरपालिकाका नगर प्रमुख, प्रमुख प्रशासकीय अधिकृत, स्वास्थ्य संयोजक, नगरपालिका पदाधिकारी तथा सरोकारवाला, सञ्चारकर्मीहरू लगायत नेपाल नेत्र ज्योति सङ्घ, हिरालाल सन्तुदेवी प्रधान नेत्र विज्ञान अध्ययन संस्थान तथा भरतपुर आँखा अस्पतालका पदाधिकारी एवं प्रतिनिधिहरूको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।यस आँखा उपचार केन्द्रको स्थापनाले स्थानीय सरकार र नेपाल नेत्र ज्योति सङ्घबीचको सहकार्यलाई थप सुदृढ गर्दै समुदायमा आधारित आँखा स्वास्थ्य सेवाको विस्तार तथा आवश्यक आँखा उपचार सेवामा स्थानीय जनताको पहुँच अभिवृद्धि गर्न महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पुर्याउने विश्वास गरिएको छ।👁️ Soft Opening of Eye Care Center at Haripurwa Municipality, SarlahiHaripurwa, Sarlahi | 18 September 2026Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Hiralal Santudevi Pradhan Institute of Ophthalmic Sciences, Bharatpur Eye Hospital, in collaboration with Haripurwa Municipality, has officially conducted the Soft Opening of the Eye Care Center at Haripurwa Municipality–2, Sarlahi, within the premises of Haripurwa Municipal Hospital.The Eye Care Center aims to bring accessible and quality eye care services closer to the local community and strengthen comprehensive eye health services in the municipality and surrounding areas.The program was attended by the Mayor of Haripurwa Municipality, Administrative Chief, Health Coordinator, municipal authorities and stakeholders, journalists, along with representatives and authorities from Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and Bharatpur Eye Hospital.This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the local government and Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh to strengthen community-based eye care and improve access to essential eye health services.
